These are from this morning. More rain is expected…hopefully turning to sleet to spare the trees. The news reported snow coming, it looks like it will be rain here though.
Below are pecan trees in the pasture south of our house.
Below is the driveway to the barn. Our trees are nearly all oaks and are old, strong trees. They’ve seen worse ice than this in the 11 years we’ve lived here.
Below is from in front of the house. You can see our roof at the very bottom. This is a little deceiving, we don’t have any large branches directly over the house….lots of small ones though.
Below is from the circle drive in front of the house. This tree has lost limbs before. We had people out to look at it, they said it was healthy, just had a bad limb…. I’m not sure I believe that.
Well it started snowing as I was typing, I pray the snow slips right through the trees and to the ground.
Below is northwest of the house, still in the yard. You can see the trash barrels to the right. lol Lovely, aren’t they. =)
Below are tiny limbs and chunks of ice that are covering the ground.
Sweet Maggie. She’s so sad. She’s not really that cold, it’s only 30 degrees outside. She’s scared, the ice and limbs falling from the trees are terrifying her. =(
